Abstract

The article analyzes key aspects of the effective use of small arms for the rapid neutralization of mobile enemy groups employing small-sized high-speed vehicles such as motorcycles, electric motorcycles, buggies, etc., in the context of the russian-ukrainian war. Particular emphasis is placed on the increasing role of shooter training and small arms for the fire engagement of these highly maneuverable groups. The main goal of the research is to formulate and substantiate practical recommendations for countering and fire destruction of these groups using available small arms models that are in service with the shooters of the defense forces.
Modern combat operations are characterized not only by high dynamics but also by the constant evolution of tactics and weaponry. The rapid change in the situation, driven by the active use of advanced technologies, requires commanders and shooters to adapt instantly and be able to operate effectively in conditions of uncertainty. Mobile small-sized targets, such as motorcycles, electric motorcycles, buggies, and other similar vehicles, have become a common occurrence on the battlefield, posing a significant threat to defense units. Their speed, maneuverability, and ability to penetrate difficult terrain make them ideal for conducting reconnaissance, sabotage, and assault operations. Effective engagement of such targets requires shooters not only to be accurate but also to be able to react quickly to their appearance, make informed decisions in limited time, and fire at high-speed moving objects with high precision. In this regard, the issue of improving shooter training methods, developing new approaches to instruction, and adapting existing small arms models to the conditions of combat operations against mobile small-sized targets becomes particularly relevant.
The rapid conditions of warfare in 2025, driven by the active development and proliferation of unmanned aerial and ground systems, as well as remote mining, necessitate a review of traditional combat tactics and a partial abandonment in certain areas of the use of significant concentrations of heavy equipment and large gatherings of personnel. Instead, there is a clear trend towards replacing large-sized military equipment (such as tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, etc.) with more maneuverable and high-speed small-sized vehicles, which provide increased mobility, reduced visibility, and the ability for rapid deployment and redeployment. This trend is particularly noticeable in the actions of reconnaissance and sabotage groups, assault units, and special operations forces, which are increasingly using motorcycles, electric motorcycles, buggies, and other similar vehicles to carry out precise combat missions.
